When You Think of Garbage, Think of Hakeem!

I went to the Museum of the Moving Image with a friend on a Sunday afternoon.  We had a lot of fun.  The Museum of the Moving Image is the kind a place that you need to go to more than once in order to fully take advantage of all it has to offer.  It was my first time going and I wished that I had spent more time there.  It made me think of how much the film and television industry has changed.  I haven't always been a big fan of old shows and old movies but one thing about being in a film program, you really get to appreciate film and television production as a work of art.  So often, we take for granted all the work that goes into a production to make that production look effortless.  Whether it's special effects, sound design or editing, a lot of time and effort goes in it, just so we, the audience, can connect to the story being told.

I wasn't expecting the museum to have an old Super Mario Brothers' Nintendo game.  We played and watched some old game shows.  We really had fun in the sound booth.  I think the museum could benefit from having exhibits about new movies and even an exhibit on the future of the industries.  But all in all, I had a good time.
